HOERBIGER Engine/Altronic LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Girard, Ohio location. This role falls within the Maintenance Department and will have a focus in daily maintenance activities relating to scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on equipment or the facilities. This is a full-time hourly position, day shift, Monday-Friday schedule

Main Tasks. This position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance of production equipment/facilities and to assist in repair/maintenance of unscheduled maintenance at the Girard campus. Understanding of the Altronic Manufacturing processes and equipment is required to ensure efficient use of in-house and contracted labor during repair and preventive measures.

Individual Tasks.

Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on production equipment to meet defined KPI's
Define, document, and record PM requirements with manufacturing engineering and/or test engineering
Determine and schedule in-house vs. contracted maintenance
Maintain and report project(s) status
Perform skilled special project/equipment troubleshooting including but not limited to Altronic specific equipment in the various departments and throughout the plant.
Perform standard facility maintenance related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, etc.
Any additional maintenance deemed necessary

Requirements/Challenges.

Ensuring and supporting a clean and safe working environment
Able to multi-task and prioritize maintenance activities
Able to communicate in a professional manner with contracted vendor services
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Minimum 3+ years' experience
Minimum Technical Certification/Technical Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
Responsible for outdoor facility maintenance
Ability to learn and understand manufacturing equipment to be able to perform standard Preventive Maintenance
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet for periods of time

Special Knowledge/Skills.

Strong electrical/PLC knowledge preferred
Basic ability to use electrical testing equipment
Strong Computer skills (MP2 Maintenance Management system, SAP knowledge preferred)
Basic math skills a must
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong mechanical skills
Strong organizational skills

Personal and Social Skills.

Able to work well within a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with other departments and 3rd party vendors
Must be diligent and attentive to the work being performed
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment and perform various duties within the Maintenance department as needed throughout the annual year
